9th april 2007

hmm, it's been a long long time since my last post that i've got not much to say. well most importantly, this year's lenten journey has taught me a number of new things and has been meaningful. now it's time for the joy of easter haha. yestrday we had log's first easter egg treasure hunt at the kensington park condo. haha fun and funny. on sat attended my third easter vigil mass. such masses are cool.haha. everything now's fine and school going at a very manageable and nice pace and things are set to be dandy.haha.

sunday 18th march

brrr..the march hols is about fighting different kinds of sickness. first food poisoning, then fever and now i've no more voice! anyway i'll hopefully be able to enjoy next week after everyone's finished their common tests. meanwhile it's been staying at home, resting, eating, tv and ps2.

the interact camp was not bad..on the first day at the kws hospital while everyone was pferforming in the hall for the elderly me and 6 others went to the rehab centre to perform for a very long time for the elderly there. had to go home in the evening. 2nd day was east coast games and urban hike. the most gross game was the passing of a banana thru each other's shirts. for the urban hike we split up into different groups..went to ps, then chinatown and the URA where we toured the place which was kinda nice. ad then fever struck and after buying the sparkling juice and returning to school, had to go home..wel tonight's my grandma's birthday dinner, dunno how i'm gonna eat the luxurious dinner though and tmr the doctor says i cant take pe but i wanna play badminton so.haiz..but on the bright side, i'm so glad i've God and frens who care abt during this uncomfy period!

11th marchm sun

well common tests are over and it's time for a break during the march hols.on thurs went down to science centre for the ssef competition and played with the "toys" there..haha..on fri was town nd the usual stuff..yesterday nite had bad food poisoning which still lasts till now..had to eat lots of charcoal medicine and puked and all throughout the nite..sigh..well thankfully it hasn't been as bad as previous ordeal-the expired yoghurt disaster where the food poisoning lasted for quite a number of days starting from the plane from tokyo back to s'pore. thnx to liquid kitchen's contaminated meat! no doubt te food was good..haiz..anyway tmr's interact camp so hopefully everything goes well. last year's one was good.

well, i've forgotten about blogging for a while. but now i'll just recap the main events of the past 2 weeks for fun..haha..well things did turn out good after al the prayers and my hand is really much better and healed! 2 weeks ago i had my bdae celebrations with different groups of people on different days..we had jts at secret recipe and our class turned up with full attendane haha..then last saturday i went forthe hearts on fire rally by nus catholic society which was good for me to spend some time with God and witness the Holy Spirit's manifestation when so many pple got slain. last sunday was my so-called bdae surprise which had been postponed due to my injured hand..well it was a very nice dinner at billy bombers and i would have liked the bumboat and hot-air balloon rides but it was already very late, there's always next time haha..

v-day shopping cost me lots of money cos got many presents to buy. then on tues we went to the airport to send jing jiang off to australia, all the best to him! on v-day itself, so many pple were so high and the lt was so noisy..haha..my 3 fave presents are a dolphin pillow, porcines and a big big snake which pple like to play with and which is good to be used to keep warm in the lecture theatre (not me haha). and then on thurs went rollerblading! it's much much more fun than running and it's good exercise too!

today was chinese new year celebrations in vj and we had mass dance! then after breakfast at parkway i went back to maris stella! talked to goy who has quite long dyed hair, mrs khoo, miss lu etc..maris does bring back some fond memories haha. then we met the rest at PS for lunch and watched ghost rider which is not bad..oh then later at night explored the new amk hub which is so hip and advanced compared to the rest of amk lol..had a nice dinner-the fortune pizza from pizza hut..yups by now i'm vry very very tired but i'm gonna take this chance to sleep late cos there won't be any more such chances soon.yup, happy new year and bye bye!

me bdae

18 years old..how fast..there's so much that's happened but i juz dun have the energy to blog. this year's birthday celebrations have taught me many things. i injuered my hand in an accident on thurs and nowi have 4 stiches and am typing with 1 hand..it's my right hand that's injured so i cant write yet..my bdae itself was an emotional ride..and i thank the lord. i know the lord's been testing me and preparing me for something greater thru this expeirence i'm in, somehow. and i would like to thank all my friends who have in one way or another helped make me happy during bdae and the weekends! like helping me cut my food cos i can only eat with my left hand, carrying my new shoes all around town, and all the small things that have made me happi.

and yea this year's bdae is specal in a way. i've got the most presents ever and i love them, big or small, they all matter. some people whom i haven't talked to for so long wished me, so i guess bdae's a good time for renewing relationships. and due to my injury celebrations planned by frens will continue for the whole of next week..haha..so although today was horrible cos i had a headache which lasted the whole day, i'm gonna offer it to God and place my trust in Him that the coming week will be great =)

11th january, thurs

wells, it's been sometime since i blogged..it's 2007! wow how time has passed juz like that..2006 was a great experience..haha..the holidays were great too..had a good break, ending with the retreat and christmas celebrations! =)..praise God! ok onto 2007! it's been a crazy and tiring week since the start of school..orientation 1 '07 was fun and cool..it's more fun as an ogl this year cos this year i more enthu than last year..haha..well im too lazy to type out all that we did during orietation..ayden rocks! haha..my sub-group's apple and because jerald's there there ar quite a few ip students in the group

day 1 started out ok, but things got really hyped up since day 2..wow all the cheering and shouting is really loud..my sensitive ears did feel the effects haha..oh i loved the mass dances..it's cool to see everyone doing it together..it's been cool to be an ogl too! to look after freshman haha..og games are fun..we played many of those retarded games..haha..i remembered last year i was the slowest in getting all these games like he mrt one and how many mehs mhs jump over the fence..wa this year got even more..lol..like the number game and big wave small wave..yea we were very hih, on thurs we went to parkway's seventhfloor to mass dance and on fri to marina square and we did silent cheers and dance at the area where pple breakdance at the esplanade..very funny..

then on mon it was sea regatta which is one of the best parts of orientation..got dunked of course..the games were as good as last year..haha..there wasn't the dog and dirt of the mud style like last year though..this time the weather was good and it didn't rain like last year! at nite was suntec! we first met up at carls junior to talk rubbish for quite some time before dancing..juz like last year, high and crazy lol..we din get to dance and cheer in the fountain this time..it would be fun though haha..yup anyway we continued chatting at carl's junior after that and i reached home at almost midnite..woo! tiring! orientatio juz came and went..well but there'll be the good memories again!

anyway it's back to school and lessons and all..i's should all be fine..haha..oh and what a pity we have this new principal called mr chan and doesn't give us off days and is so long-winded and talks in such a unpleasant way! oh wells..many pple want mrs chan back..

Christmas!

Back from retreat! what a tiring wonderful week! =)..wow christmas is 2 days away..how fast the year has passed..well b4 i go into retreat which was good thnx to those who planned it, in particular joan and jess!,ogl training was fun thouh the first day started out ith me, soo, liver and jason getting caught by stupid tyh catching us for our hair and made us go to parkway immediately to get i cut..i had mine cut 3 weeks ago only..anyway. like i've said i forgive him for his lack of tolerance and compassion..haha..ogls are enthu pple..at the start of the year during o1 i thot wow so on..now im one of them..haha..so many cheers and especially the ogl cheer..love the mass dances!


well the weather has been ba lately, more than 24 hours rain..got caught in the rain so many times..2 shoes totally wet and so many pple got sick in the retreat..ok onto the retreat =)..yay praise God cos it was a great experience..i love log..log love is good..haha..anyway i managed to get to know pple better and pple to know me better! yay..there wa lots of sharings and all..night 0 was abt introduction to the retreat and getting into the right state of mind for it..then we picked randomlynumbers that represented a logger whom we were suppposed to right an affirmation letter..and yea like soo said the system is "rigged"..haha..God works in many nice ways!

first day of retreat we had some funny skits like the monkey on the head one..followed by relecting on what's important in our lives which was meaningful..after lunch was reconciliation and at nite was thrash talk and discussonof various matters..nice to see a community supporting each other to find a solution to a problem..=)..

2nd day, janice gave us a talk on "community"..then it was games which was fun an funny..the throwing of water bombs at poey and each other was funny..yay..at night was the peak of highness(spiritually) haha..living stones youth group from ctk came to give a pnw session which took us to another level of worship and praise which we've not exactly experienced b4..God is great! :) could really feel God's love so touching that i cried..it was good to just offer everything up to God..to juz trust in Him and follow Him..at nite it wasmore sharing..oh yea im not so shy now..haha..proper hugs!

last day..jude came to talk to us abt mission which was our sharing theme later.from inividual to the community, we discussed our gifts and individual missions b4 gng to our community's mission..well 4 me it's about being as nice as i can to others..i still hae lts to learn though..well this year i've really learnt alot..praise God! later we had our very own LOG mass by father gerard..very nice..well that's abt it..everyone was so tired by the end of the retreat but we still went to swee's house for dinner! now's it's back to writing christmas card and being in the mood for christmas! :-)

11th dec, mon

oh wells..my stupid throat is really upsetting..woke up in the middle of the night to find out that my entire throat plus the tonsils were infected and i couldn't talk and couldn't move my tongue properly..this is the worst sore throat that i have ever had or that i can rmb..had to go see the specialist in mount elizabeth hospital and he suggested that i have my tonsils removed..the surgery would cost 6000 bucks.the cost of 10 hedgehogs..well anyway it's up to me whether i want it or not..the medicine i took makes me so drowsy that i have to sleep the whole day as usual..thankfully i could talk after taking the painkillers! couldn't go for the ogl meeting today and gotta cacel plans for tmr as i have to rest..haiz..well i should "i'm trading my sickness, i'm trding me pain, i'm laying it down for the joy of the lord" according to the song..haha..

anyway last week's class chalet was fun..brought my ps2 there..haha..we basically stayed in the room the whole time..played ps2, cards and some stessful name card game thing lol..the gals shot so loudly..my poor ears..i couldn't eat the bbq we had later due to my throat, but i had no idea it would end up like that..at nigh i finally learnt how to play mahjong..so mny things to know abt it..that's all..wells..back to my porridge..=(..

half the hols have passed..how fast..haha..i've really gotten used to this late night sleeping and waking up late(if can)lifestyle already..last fri was a long, tiring and cool day..haha..woke up at 8 which was out of the norm..played tennis, bowling, lunch at macs, then off to east coast macs..haha..then rollerbladed again..yay..then went parkway for dinner and then to a familiar place..vjc! haha..vj choir concert les miserables was good! and finally we had supper at the prata place at serangoon b4 the tired me had sleep from 1am to 3 the next day..woke up in time for fest day at sfx and the free dinner..haha..oh and then the silly 1 second joke haha..oh yesterday i watched open season..quite a short movie but funny and it's not bad..haha..waa and it's been 2 days in a row that i've been caught in heavy heavy rain..today the rain was bad because of the strong strong wind..all wet..haha..tmr's class chalet hope it doesn't rain! well that's all for now..

29th november, wednesday

wells..it's been quite a while that i've been enjoying the hols..totally forgotten all abt work and all..so basically it's been playing ps2 (rpg games take up lots of time..haha), going out, friends coming over to play, and going to east coast..haha..pretty cool considering there's hardly any stress involved..oh yea we had such a good time at escape the other day with all the rides..none were scary..haha..liked the rainbow and pepsi rides..all the planning and prayers for good weather paid off!

on sunday log did the canteen for the first time.. my maid cooked fried rice! lol now many pple are gonna eat what i've been eating so much for lunch if i were to have lunch at home..haha..i was serving the free coffee and tea and had to repeat that the coffee's free dunno how many times..haha..anywayz, we managed to earn 600 plus dollars from the sales

oh and on monday my stupid played up again..i remember the other time when i had to wake up at 1030 for pw the alarm rang..yea the clock showed 1030 but when i went to the bathroom after getting breakfast..the clock there showed 9 and so did all my watches! so i went back to sleep..but this time the clock rang at 11 (time i'm supposed to wake up) but actually it was already 2 plus!! the clock must have had some malfunction during the nite..anyway..now i'll be relying on another clock too..yea so couldn't meet mx they all..sighz..anyway there's still more than half the hols left so gotta enjoy it =)..

tuesday, 14th november

wells, first of all..project work is finally totally over!! one A level subject is finally gone! all the work and rehearsals put into the OP really paid off in the end i gess..it turned out better than the rehearsals and the Q&A was pretty much fine..so yea so that's it for PW!!after the OP, class went to bk after which some of them came over to my place to watch about a boy and play ps2..lol gals playing ps2 is a very different thing from guys playing it..haha..anyway the details can be found on see kiat's blog..later had dinner at 5-star hainanese restaurant..wow i'm eating there rather often! played pool at amk with weixin and val..and finally for fun or dunno what did some bus travelling to hougang and back..haha

saturday..elson and joe came over to play ps2..haha we played digimon rumble arena for so long that we ended up eating dinner at chomp chomp at like 10 something..oh yea now my bro's gone crazy with his pets..there're sharks, lobsters, tarantua, etc and now's there's a crocodile and a hedgehog and octopus! won't be surprised if i find a gorilla in my house one day..yesterday marked the end of pw by handing in insights and reflections and the group project file..ater that went to tampiness mall with weixin and see kiat for lunch and to shop for PS2 games..haha..2nd time at that mall this year..not my place that i'd hang out at..yups..later went to bedok to find more games..haha..

lastly today..elson and mingxuan came over..played ps2 and stuff..haha..i guess im so free during the hols..kinda cool..haha..especially since i might not or probably not going overseas like i usually do during the hols..most of my friends hv attachment or going overseas for ocip or holidays..yea but i actually got much to do during the hols! haha..anywayz, happi birthday van if u're reading this! bye byes

friday, 3rd november

haha..have been lazy to blog..but well now i have decided to do so..well what's been going on is basically pw, preparing for op, dry runs, going out with frens and PS2..haha..better than normal school days i guess..can't wait till pw op is over..1 A level subject would be completed..haha..oh for the sake of recording down..i've managed to teach someone roller blading! it was a tiring experience though..haha..last week was an emotional week with grandpa's passing away..yea..well, God's always with us no matter what..

this period of time the movies aren't good, not worth watching like what elson said..watched dead or alive last week, can't expect much of the storyline, but the action is cool..haha..oh i've got thru to become an ogl..should be fun! we went to hwa chong's fright night though we were in vj uniform..we were like crashers cos it was kinda like an internal event. they were screening shutter and ju-on..went for the horror trail..had to face some try-to-act-scary gals with weird make-up and crawl thru "tunnels"..yups..

on saturday the university panel discussion thing was kinda useless and boring..bought lots of stuff this week and spent alot..tues we celebrated clarice's bdae at fish and co., i've realised i've eaten fish and co 4 times in 1 month..anyway, the place was decorated to suit the theme of halloween..quite cool, with all the waiters and waitresses dressed up as pirates and the 10% discount for guessing the right creepy crawly from the box..went to rice's house after dinner..played games like never ever have i ever, truth and dare..haha..haven't played those for quite some time..

today played quite alot of pool at the club with elson..first time playing pool outside with such quiet conditions..i actually could play better due to that at the start..haha..oh had ice cube and was so so full after that..what a pity that i couldn't finish the ice-cream..haha..wells..hols are here and it shall last for quite some time so i gotaa enjoy myself..=)..
